    Ahmed Hoza

    Maha Khatib

    رولا البلبيسي RulaBilbeisi

Important to think about this not simply as a total allegory RE the Palestinian condition but specifically about the second intifada and the siege of Ramallah Khalifeh finding new forms of expression and solidarity amidst the IDF s application of Inverse Geometry and new forms of human rights abuse The elasticity of the soul and then its annihilation By turns brutal, hopeful, pages turn.

    Noor Baher

    Mohamed Aldiastty

    أحرار الشام

    Amira Ahmed

This book would have been better if I could have read it in Arabico many strange expressions, too much character development adn to many references to items and events that were not fully explained to the non Palestinian reader I gave Khalifeh a chance though, which I m proud of She is a great writer for Palestinians.

    Safa Jarrar

    Aya Kamel

    Baghdad Alian

Considering that I heard a lot about the book, I was expecting much But it was a very detailed, painful read amazing as ever with Khalifeh s works

An utterly astounding look into Palestinian life A must read.
