The tale of Beauty and the Beast, we read the book, saw the movie and still hum the tunes, so sweet, so sad and so romantic Prepare for a fabulous re telling, all updated and a little twisted around, but still as sweet and romantic as the original With Blossom and the Beast, R.S McCoy has a warm and fuzzy hit as one young woman and one young man try to find love and acceptance amidst the politics of arranged marriages, political enemies and magical machinations, but will their love last Is it tr [...]

I won an ARC through a giveaway the author held on Instagram That in no way, shape, or form influenced my review As always, my reviews are honest and can be found on Kaitbooktopia Blossom and the Beast turned out to be an amazing read Generally, I try to stay away from retellings because I have read some before and was left disappointed Blossom and the Beast beyond impressed me I stayed up all night reading it in one sitting. The story follows a teenage girl named Blossom who is part of the Terra [...]

Okay, so this book is a Fairy Tale Retelling of Beauty and the Beast With that in mind, I thought I had a fairly good idea of what to expect Boy, was I wrong In Blossom and the Beast, Blossom is the youngest daughter of a clan chief Her father has a fox for a totem animal, her three brothers are bears , and it is suspected that Blossom will be the same She has a very inquisitive mind and struggles against the rules and traditions that bind her under the canopy On a trip out of camp when she shou [...]

FULL REVIEW IS ON MY BLOG Check it out at dorothyrequina.wixsite boo, thanks I gave this book 3.75 stars This is the first of R S McCoy s works that I ve read and I have to say I really enjoyed it My favorite part of it all the relationships She had me crying tears within the first 50 pages alone because she wrote such amazing familial relationships in this book I loved Blossom s relationships with her three brothers especially Hale and her father I could already see a great girl girl friendship [...]

I loved this book Beauty and the Beast has long been my favorite old school Disney movie and this book has some serious undertones with Beauty and the Beast references Sometimes this doesn t work so well, but here the references are perfectly placed and pulled at my heart strings Especially the end scene with Kaide I won t pretend I wasn t frustrated with Blossom for a while because of her attitude At the same time, there were so many factors playing into it that I could understand why the attit [...]

Over the years, I have read several books I ve read fantasy paranormal sci fiction But never in over 300 books have I read one where I felt so invested in the characters Seriously, McCoy was able to reach in my mind and heart and grab hold and not let go I was sad for Blossom when the inevitable trade came along I was angry at her brothers for not letting her explore I was disappointed when her father let her go I excited for her when her new life started to take shape I was so floored by the en [...]

WowThis was a fantastic book Set in some sort of post apocalyptic world, where society has already stabilized, Blossom gets sold to Kaide to be his wife He seems very willing to let her make her own decisions for someone who bought another person The characters were riveting, the plot unfolded nicely I wish I had known going in that it wasn t a stand alone book I defiantly need to read the next one to see what happens, even though it seems like the next has a new cast of main characters.

SPOILER ALERT I was loving this story The depth and creation of this world and its character is breathtaking The interaction between the main characters draws you into the story The ending left me cold and angry I know there is another book in this series, but it s supposed to be about the niece Continuing Blossom s and Beast s story in Raene s book seems like it will take away from Raene s story, so I am greatly disappointed for I am a fan that a book should stand on its own, even it is part of [...]

WHERE HAS THIS BEAUTY BEEN MY ENTIRE LIFE Or at least for the past year since it s been published What a thoroughly lovely and enjoyable book This was so much fun to read, although the bear on the cover did make me think that the beast might be a bear P It s almost impossible to describe how cute this book was, how much it made me hold my breath, and how much I wanted to read even as the hours passed and I realized that I wasn t going to be putting this book down any time soon I can t wait to s [...]

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this story In this retelling of Beauty and the Beast, I was happy to meet Blossom and Kaide as well as the other characters in the story It was beautifully well written This was my first story that I ve read by this author I m sorry to say I hadn t read her work sooner My favorite character is of course Blossom, and I can wait to see where her story takes her.

Blossom the Beast by RS McCoy is the story of Blossom Frane, the youngest daughter of the head of a Bear Clan who is just weeks away from her transformation when she meets Kaide Landel who takes an instant fancy to her and whisks her away as his prospective bride Blossom is feeling like Beauty from Beauty and the Beast, whisked to an unknown land against her wishes by a brooding Beast But is Kaide really the Beast she thinks him to be This is the first book by RS McCoy that I have read and when [...]

You will love this book for the wonderful characters What a wonderfully new story Blossom is such a strong character you fall in love with her The plot of this series is so full and all the characters are rich and stand out as their own persona Alice is a strong man in his own With a lot to loss bits and help wanting blossom This author gives an excellent description of the views of scenery and the different sites that blossom sees.

This is another re telling This time it s a different take on Beauty and the Beast I love re tellings I think this review is just timely since a new version of Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson is coming out in theaters this March 2017 Blossom and the Beast is an absolutely endearing tale of two people of different backgrounds falling in love with each other as each day passes It will make you swoon and fall in love with Blossom and Kaide.Kaide is my kind of guy The serious and brooding [...]

I receive a copy of this book from the author to facilitate my review but all the opinions are my own Blossom and the Beast is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a modern spin Blossom has spent her whole life in the woods, climbing trees, running wild and unchecked She s also always been safe and looked after by her three very protective older brothers, who have the capability to transform into bears their totem. She s nearly 18, and on her birthday she ll have a totem of her own and the ab [...]

This is my third time going deep into Rachel s book as I have had the opportunity to read and review the first book of The Luminary Chronicles as well as both books of The Extractions Files If you have not read them, well I can but only highly recommend them especially The Extractions Files that are a huge favorite of mine and some wonderful Sci Fi.So when Rachel offered the possibility to review this new series, I could not say no I just finished reading this baby all in one sitting and again I [...]

This is a great fairy tale retelling I found myself zoning out and ignoring the world outside just so I could find out what was going on in Blossom s So let me start from the top I was given an ARC in exchange for an HONEST review, so here it is.This is a retelling of the classic Beauty and the Beast, which also happens to be my favorite Disney story as well as traditional fairy tale The author gives nods to both the original telling as well as Disney But that s my opinion Sure she didn t do any [...]

I enjoyed this book It was a good retelling There were some clear parallels to Beauty and the Beast, but it was still very different At times I had to think about which parts were like the original It still felt like its own story, though It was really cool to read.I liked the dual POV, as usual I always prefer that I did find that I liked Kaide s POV better though I m not sure why Blossom s POV unsettled me a little bit, I think Maybe I just couldn t relate to her enough She was a very fleshed [...]

I absolutely LOVED reading this book It was slow to start at first but I m glad I stuck with it The characters in this book fall into categories of undecided, likable, unlikable and clearly hated for me Blossom is my kind of girl She is tough and doesn t take crap from anyone Kaide goes back and forth with me liking him and then not liking him I ultimately decided that I do like Kaide Olin is an uncertainty to me and I am unsure where his loyalties lie and hope to find out in a sequel somewhere [...]

I love Beauty and the Beast stories There is just something about a tortured hero and the sweet yet strong heroine who saves him This story comes close, but doesn t quite get there I did like this book despite my criticisms of it The novel reeks of YA, and I don t generally like YA for the same reasons I found fault with in this book A young 18 year old heroine who is too self centered and immature to connect with and a 20 year old hero who has so much maturity and wisdom that he is not believab [...]

When indie authors contact you and ask you to review their books, I am always a bit leery I find that, most of the time, the books are not really written to my high literary standards However, every once in a while, I find a diamond in the rough.Blossom and the Beast is such a diamond. What attracted me to this book was that it was a Beauty and the Beast retelling I LOVE LOVE LOVE retellings, I can never get enough Pair that with the fact that our Beauty is a member of a clan of bear shiftersI si [...]

    Courtney (A Little Bookish Life)

I am a substantial Beauty and the Beast enthusiast, and this story maintained a plot so closely and wonderfully parallel to the original one, but with some perfectly creative twists One particular twist on this treasured classic was that everyone had a totem, an animal form that they could transform into I really liked the idea of everyone having their own inner beast animal reflective of themselves, and some being perhaps beastly than others It played very well into the story.Kaide as the Beas [...]
