this was so badly written there was so much confusion it just jumped from one scene to another, in such a hurry instead of making it fast paced, it just became plain difficult to figure out i was like how when did this happen the narrations mc character doesn t develop either i rather see halloween strong and at least a little bit sure of herself but she continues to be naive silly.

DisappointingI loved the first 2 books in the series This one however, did not meet expectations The dialogue was stilted, the plot very immature, the repeated bad spells boring The high point was 1785 coven Those ladies were funny

    Margaret Hasemann

A Convey of CovensVery much enjoyed this one Nothing like dealing with a coven you grew up with where everyone in it knew you as a screw up, Add in one from 1785, whose dress and manners are on a completely different scale Not to mention one newly formed whose leader is from 1985 Poor Hallie has her hands full At least her ever faithfully if paranormal fearful friend Annebelle is there at her side, along with Liam, Nicolas, and let s never forget Mom What will happen the next time she opens the [...]

Ok but issuesSo I started reading this little series because of the cute idea of it Story isn t overly creative but ok when u just want something lighthearted My issue is of whether the books are proof read If so they need to hire someone new One moment one person is driving a car then it s actually a different person in next sentence Next line is original person driving Things like this happen all through the series but seems to get worse instead of better Usually things get better over time C [...]

I felt this was the weakest book in the series, thus far.It s so hard to read a book that is fully explained, as if it s for children, when it s categorized as adult para rom fiction.I love the character Halloween no doubt But, she needs some work in the structure of the plot Her ideas, complications and even her set backs are explained to death Every single step or direction she goes in, the author is sure to tell us the back story and the needless details from the previous two books.I love thi [...]

Liked it, but midway through the book I got a little confused and it felt like there was pages missing, I had to flip back to make sure I didn t miss anything Without spoiling the story, one of the characters disappeared and became the bad guy even though there was no mention of them running off until it was said that they were unheard of for days I felt like I missed something But still a quick, fun read.

    Kathy Elliott

She just doesn t learnThis the third book in the series It is mildly enjoyable My biggest issue is that the main character, Hallie AKA Halloween doesn t seem to learn anything She just rushes from one mess to the next In the first book, it was rather humorous, but by now it s just tedious Don t think I ll be reading the rest, because this one was annoying.

    Danielle

I read the two previous books pretty quickly because they re light reading and relatively cute, but this book was incredibly inconsistent It was like the author forgot who was doing what Whole segments seemed to be missing and there s a lot of useless running around It was confusing than enjoyable which is a shame.

    Michele Crimson

I really enjoyed the first in this series and the second was decent but predictable This one sadly is barely ok The writing is good but the story falls flat and the main character is underdeveloped and a bit boring.

    Lucy King

Oh well, I wasnt sure what to think about this, first book was okay, second book amazing, here I was a bit confused, everyone driving around chasing each other but in the end it was interesting and I liked to learn a bit of the coven history And I just like Halloween, I feel so sorry for her sometimes D so many problems, she sucks at magic and happens to be the leader of all the paranormal people, but she is funny and just cute So I am definetely looking forward to the next book even though this [...]

Third Times a CharmThis is another highly entertaining episode in the LaVeau series This one was obviously written with little rereading, which is a shame Since the story is fun and funny, disorienting lack of attention to the details is objectionable A person is on the porch and after a bit of conversation and no mention of moving, he is now coming up onto the porch A person is inside and again without leaving the house, he is now entering the house he is in Disorienting

    Karen Kepner

Halloween is a name With a name like Halloween and being a witch, this series is extremely entertaining Characters are lovable, and it is good vs evil, with the Good triumphing in the end at least I think so

    Thelma Coots

Good book bad ending.I loved the book till the ending The ending should always sound final but lead you to want another I hate when books end with it obvious it s part of a series.

    Heather Rizkallah

Great readWhat better than witches at war, well toss in two hot vampires and you have some fun Poor Halloween had had trouble since she became the leader of the Underworld, but she didn t expect it tho be this bad

    Wendy Miller

Meh.Poorly written Jumped around a lot First two were decent, going to try the fourth in hopes it s redeeming If not, I m done.

    Sandy

GoodThis book was a good as expected I will definitely read the next in the series So far they ve all good.

    Jane Love

What mess has Halloween gotten herself into this time, will she keep the book of mystics

    Sally Sinclair

    Perfect vacation book Fun sassy

Third time s a charm is book 3 of the Halloween LaVeau series Halley is still getting used to being the head of the underworld and before she can finally settle into the position someone has come forward claiming that they are the real owner of the book and that she needed to hand it over It can t be She goes to the book yet again and cast yet another spell that backfires But is it a good backfire or something that screws her over to the point of no return I m hooked I keep buying the books for [...]

bravo again geeze, i now have a horizontal mark across the back of my legs from sitting on the edge of my seat You never know what surprises Hallie has coming to her next If it were not for the many pages of repetitive info from book 2, i would have definitely 5 starred this book I think the author probably should just write the story and take for granted that the reader has read the previous book s.I absolutely adore the story and characters i can just envision the ancient coven ladies haha, to [...]

    Clarissa Simmens

Hallie is fighting for her position as Leader of the Underworld and I sometimes want to leap into the pages and turn her by the shoulders, facing her in the right direction Fortunately, she is a genius right at surrounding herself with excellent staff Rose Pressey has outdone herself by having Hallie reanimate a coven from another time one that enjoys pigging out on junk food and embracing modern inventions and technology They add to the beautiful chaos of the Halloween LaVeau series and I look [...]

    Donna

Halloween is the leader of the Underworld For some reason, everyone wants her job and they are willing to do anything to get it She has no idea who is trust worthy or not half the time Especially when half the people she is dealing with were dead and she accidentally brought them back to life Just like the other books in this series, I found it hard to put it down It is a quick and enjoyable read I am ready to move on to the next book and see what happens next You never know what her wacky magic [...]

    Jan Niblock

I love how the story of Halloween continues in this third part of the series Giovanni St Clair is an extremely interesting character who even at the end of the book, you are not sure about him I really enjoy all of Rose Pressey s books but I am not always completely captivated by some of the characters I wish Hallie had a little depth and was less of what seems to be an airhead But still I enjoyed the story and will continue reading books with Hallie as the main character should one come out.

    Yvonne Taylor

In Third Times a Charm Hallie has once again, got herself in over her head When a man shows up on her doorstep, stating that he is the leader of the Underworld Then a coven from 1785 shows up a girl from 1985 What is going on With the help of Annabelle, Nicolas and Liam, can she get to the bottom of this before it s too late Is Giovanni the real leader This book was so much fun Rose has such a way of telling stories that draws you in and keeps you wanting .I am looking forward to the next instal [...]

    Laura

Mostly EntertainingI generally love Rose Pressey, but I was a little disappointed with the way this one was written There were quite a few errors, and I felt like she had left some things out plot wise I also feel that 3 books in Hallie should be a little less dumb, and not so easily fooled It could also use a little character relationship development for Nicolas character.Judging by how Rose ended this one, my guess is there will be another, and I will still read the next book in the series be [...]

    Karen (BaronessBookTrove)

Poor Hallie She can never take a break, well of get a break, before something else happens in her life It s even worse with the ghosts still running around her property, since the first book, waiting to come back to life with the help of Hallie. She has so much stuff happening in her life that I believe she needs to have a rest But once again this book is another great fast paced and is a good book Rose Pressey is just another great author with another great book.If you like this review please g [...]

    Jennifer Gallagher

sigh I wanted to like this book I liked the last two and also liked how Ms Pressey self publishes her book way to go However This one, not so much Too many errors, a terrible job proofreading, and the story was disjointed Like all over the map The first two books were cute but this seemed rushed Like she needed to get it published and just wrote it so quick An easy read, 213 pages took me no time at all, but not an enjoyable or memorable read.

    Kelly

Just okCharacters grow minimally Writing needs work I struggled to make it through this book Book one was fun I m not sure I ll continue It really is frustrating to read trite dialogue and watch predictable characters Not well crafted.
