From the very first page this delightful book sparkles and bubbles At times the action verges on the slapstick, but it s cut with a beautifully sharp wit that had me laughing out loud in a number of places, and that is a thing I rarely do when reading. Not content with the traditional chicklit fare, Viggiano also gives us both a corpse and a mystery, before wrapping the lot up in a happy ending that is so complete that it reminded me of one of those Italian desserts with layer upon layer of whipp [...]

I was in two minds about this book, and read a sample Then immediately to get the whole book Debbie Viggiano had me laughing from the very start When you consider the awful events that kickstart the book, this is surprising What I love is the honesty Women temporarily escaping the confines of domesticity, breaking loose, and getting absolutely paralytic Insisting they are strong, independent women yet desperate for a man and marriage More here heartshapedbluestocking 2

ebook2.5 starsI learned of this book from the awesome cause, Authors For Philippines I was going to bid for it, but the competitions bids were not within my budget, and so I have to let it go.I didn t mind then And I don t now.Cassandra found her husband cheating on her And you know what happens to cheating husbands They re left to be divorced What follows is Cassie s self discovery to being single again and to not being single yet again One of my disappointments was when it mentioned that Cassa [...]

The dialogue in this book is some of the most witty material I ve crossed since my deceased favorite author, Erma Bombeck Debbie Viggiano spins a tale of hilarity and hi jinx that will have you laughing out loud Believe me, I m not one to blow smoke, so when I tell you that I laughed out loud I mean it There are no boring bits in this book Page one, when Cassandra walks in on her hubby bouncing a middle aged, floppy chested, big bottomed neighbor around on his pelvis, is just the tip of the phal [...]

This is a debut novel but it is hard to believe as it is magnificent It s not often I read a book so quickly but I find this author has the style of writing that I simply can t put down I read this book in three days.If you like contemporary fiction with humour, twists and romance, this is the book for you I am already waiting in anticipation of this author s third novel.A top read of 2012, for sure.
