Interesting convoluted plot set during the first world war, when London was being bombed by zeppelins Starts with a bomb landing on a house, where after the bodies are removed and indentified it s discovered there s one that doesn t belong Even one of my heroes makes an appearance Dr Spilsbury.

Set in 1916 London, this is a tale of an overbearing, hidebound policeman who has to solve the murder of an unknown person found in the rubble of a bombed out building.Thankfully, Mr Ison included a glossary of many unfamiliar terms used in the story I never developed any feelings for anyone in the book.

Well writern murder mystery solved by dogged police work and lucky breaks set in WWI London.A good read some knowledge of the era would be useful, but well worth the time to read I will read of Mr Ison s books.

Decent murder mystery solved by dogged police work and lucky breaks set in WWI London Entering a series in the middle is always tricky, but Graham Ison provided enough background without overwhelming the reader When I get time, I may read in series.

Nice historical references plodding style ok plot little character development Much prefer M Pearce.

Another well scripted story, set during WW1 in London England Entertaining read as ever, with Mr Ison s books.
